But Can It Run Crysis? 10 Years Later

We just dont get games like this anymore on PC :( A title that has stood the time and still looks excellent today.

Was Crysis 1 always DX10? I thought it was one of the first DX11 game.

Uses 1CPU core for everything, am glad we don't get many games like this. :p

In terms of graphics at the time though, i hear you.

This should have been posted in the CPU forums as performance has very little to do with the GPU.

Graphically the game is not very demanding so to use it as a GPU benchmark is a joke.

Cant even run my copy on windows 10. :(

There's a few titles like that due to the DRM it uses, Stalker Call of Pripyat is another but thankfully GOG let you use the COP key code to get a free digital copy on GOG, Or at least they did, I'm unsure if they do now, They were doing it with all three Stalker games, Is Crysis on GOG?.

Funnily enough, I installed Crysis Warhead (basically a better optimised Crysis) on Friday to test on my new 4K TV. For some reason, I can't get it past 24fps and Google seems to indicate this is a common issue.

As much as I enjoyed it, I remember being bitterly disappointed at there not being a far Cry sequel. The original looked so good and I loved the jungle setting (so different at the time).

Its been a while but, press ALT and Enter a few times. If that doesn't work put it in window mode then try ALT and Enter.

What about grand theft auto 5?

4 years on and there still isn't a card out there that can max it out 1080p 60fps.

I think a 1080ti gets around 35ish with all the settings turned running round the ultra grass with 8xmsaa.

I know some people say it looks better with low settings but gta looks amazing with ultra grass and 8xmsaa imo just need some cards to run it.

Should be able to max as I have done it @2160p with 4 way SLI.

Well its the Origin version as I cant find the original disc I have and also I dont have a dvd drive anymore anyway. :p

IIRC I did also acquire it by other digital methods and that wouldn't work either.....

Try this guide, someone got Crysis ran on Origin worked fine with Windows 10 by add CPU affinity in Crysis launch properties.

Yes Crysis and Crysis: Warhead are on GOG.com.

It pity I have both Crysis and Crysis: Warhead DVDs cant used both keys to get free digital copies on GOG but £15 for Crysis and £15 for Crysis: Warhead are absolutely ridiculous!!! You can get Crysis or Crysis: Warhead DVD for as little as £2 on ebay. :o

I tried installed Crysis on Windows 10 from DVD and it wont run due to secrom and googled found a solution.

I got Windows 8.1 DVD image and installed it on Virtualbox then installed Crysis with all patches and copy folder to SSD where Windows 10 is installed, surprised Crysis ran on Windows 10. :D

Yes Crysis games are on GOG so will install and play without issue.

But dulled down eye candy, due to cry-babies not being able to run original.
