EK's new upcoming Modular Liquid Cooling

EK told me this:

EK - Phoenix will be available for ordering on approx. 1st of November 2017

Is there any info anywhere on this? I can't find mention of it from any online sources. If a new product line is going to be available in approximately 3 weeks, it seems inconceivable to me that no info is available or specs leaked by now. Maybe they will just be officially announcing in November?

Not that I know of, They done the same thing with the aluminum water cooling kits.

Probably delayed until next year, then it will come out, be priced silly and with 1 year warranty :(

Hi,

As expected launch not on time. They have not given me a date yet and we usually know a week to a few days before as well.

So no official launch date yet.

Said this:

pre-ordering for this item will be available at the end of this month at the latest.
We sincerely apologise for the delay, but we had to ensure that we have the best possible material supplier for the necessary parts.

It is quite peculiar how there is literally ZERO info about this product anywhere. It's like it doesn't even exist, no leaks, nothing. Literally the one singular mention anywhere on the web of the 'Phoenix' product name is in this thread. Yet its release is apparently imminent. The lid on this is evidently ridiculously tight. That said, it's not like there are really any competing products, so they perhaps don't need to be shouting from the roof tops about it yet. My guess is that given the issues with the Predator range, they are being extra cautious and vigilant this time round. If the same happens again, no one is going to trust an EK AIO ever again.

Agreed.

Hopefully they get it right. And not to sound like a broken record, but they should provide 5 years warranty with them to show they are confident in the product. If it is only 1 or 2 years again I will likely give it a miss and just continue to use my Kraken X60 for a couple of more years until I get a new 7nm CPU; at which point I will probably get whatever the latest Kraken X60 series there is, as right now the X62 seems to do very well in benchmarks.

Official statement from EK has been produced after a change up in management that I was unable to discuss until they officially announced it. The products to come this year are:

Yeah, saw this earlier. Looking froward to see reviews say about price, performance and warranty. Hopefully the new management are a bit more up to date with industry trends.

Only a certain amount where made so I’m assuming they will have something a little special about them.

I think the mainstream version won’t be available for about 6 months.

Will OcUK have these on launch and also do any details on price/warranty being that the release date is imminent?

Hi,

We will not have them on launch. This product will only be available direct through EK's website. I have been provided no price or any other details on the product apart from it's direct only and it will be out this month.

It will be a limited edition model but again I'm not sure why this is limited edition.

You will have the details the same time as me sorry guys.

So if buying on the day, it's pretty much buying blindly? I mean, will there be reviews live to know what it's like?

Guess I'll check the product info before deciding. It would have to be decently better than my NHD15 to swap though.
