Star Wars Battlefront II

ok so you get 1000 credits for logging in daily and 500 credits max for bot arcade mode, so you do that for 7 days that is 10500 credits, do that for a 4 weeks = 42000 credits for not even touching online, and buying nothing... have i got this wrong? finish the campaign as well, + 5K credits so 47K credits, play a few online games daily - the credits will soon rack up?

If you don’t buy any other loot boxes for star cards...as they take credits too.

Tried the 10 hr EA Access trial, OMG - what a mess.

The single player campaign is fine in regards to feeling like a cinematic cut scene driven story, but once you've finished this (which I haven't ) the arcade mode is a dreadful. No vehicles, limited sized maps, no space battles, no skirmish mode... I tried the online, and I dunno, just not feeling right. For the price if all you want is the arcade mode, or campaign, not even anywhere near worth the cost, and the ingame purchases are over priced, Top package is £79.99 + the game itself. No thanks.

You get 3 missions of the campaign so not sure you can judge the single player on that. However I gather it's only about 6 hours anyway.

The online is decent, enjoy the epic space battles.

It's really an online game though

I was more referring to the arcade mode - once the single player campaign is over, and you aren't interested in the online - game isn't going to offer much as the arcade mode is dreadful. Only offers two modes.

It is as you say, primarily an online game.

What about Forza 7?... Did you miss the VIP episode?

The fact it was mis-sold? very much and i complained about that to them as did many others and they fixed it in a typically Microsoft speed u-turn.

That was actually more of an issue to me than this, If i buy this I know what i'm getting into, Forza they sold me something based on an expectation that was not what it was this time round and not how it was described in the store.

Played for a few hours last night, enjoying the game.

I have a few gripes though.

Partner system isn't good, no spawning on your pals like in the first game. You end up mostly opposite sides of a map doing your own thing.
Performance is a little iffy on standard PS4, some lagging.
Star Card system and loot crates are just confusing and overly complicated, but maybe coz I'm an old git who likes simple stuff.

So I ended up level 6 with 18,000 credits after a few hours of play, didn't bother unlocking Heroes as I rarely scored enough points in game to use them because i'm currently not good.

I remember swbf1 was hard to start, was maybe 0.6 KDR at the beginning - I think it took me a year to get 1:1, and now after 500 hrs I'm about 1.4 - it's all about throwing yourself into the action and getting the objective - not so much staying alive.

Well there you go.

All this crap that it would take 40 hours to get to 60,000 credits was just rubbish.

(I got 6000 credits in 40 minutes)

Credits will slow down after you've unlocked all the beginner challenges and awards. For those gamers who like to complete and unlock everything, then you're out of luck, but if you're like me who finds the best load-out and stays with it, then it wont take too long to have an epic assault class.

I can see some pain in the future, when you're happy with certain weapons and cards and then they get nerfed and you have to change, it'll take ages to obtain whatever the next flavour of the month load-out is.

I can't be the only person who has not read into this loot crate stuff and the time it takes to unlock X,Y and Z ? I enjoyed the beta, had good fun and I'll be getting it for Christmas from my girlfriend.

Well there you go....community action can work.

Wouldn’t be surprised if Disney got involved.

And it does look like when they return it will still be progression based.
