Don't you think that most eBay sellers with two or more cards for sale have used them for mining and just forget very conveniently to mention this?

Why would they advertise it? I think what's worse is that their asking price is usually not much lower than what they go for brand new.

The most efficient settings for mining are running the cards at 45-75% power draw. This also keeps them well below the thermal limits.

Therefore a much safer bet than a gamer that has clocked the nuts off them running it at stupidly high temperatures and greater than 100% power draw

Doubt it as you do not game 24/7, I would not knowingly buy a mining card and NV10 series are limited by both Temp and Power Limits and no modded Bios as of yet so cannot be abused.

Some of these mining rigs are running hot as hell in poor conditions.

I would trust only a receipt with one card,,

what if used in SLI? or they have more than 1 gaming rig?

also some miners buy another card every month. so one at a time.

also like i said cards used for mining if the miner knows what he is doing. will be running them at 50-65C. Gamers can easily overclock and push the power limit up to 120% causing temperatures of 80C+.

Would you rather buy a car that has 100,000 miles and has been driven a steady 50mph for al those miles? or a car with 30,000 miles which has been red lined for all those miles?

That don't really work, we have several cards online with a max of 1pc per order limit, so the miners just sit online placing several orders and paying shipping each time. Also many online companies now limit to 1pc per customer or were doing, so that does not guarantee you.

Also mining in air conditioned warehouse is quite a good life for a card. The problem is when you get idiots wedging six cards all right next to each other causing them to run on their throttle limit max 24hr at a time, this severely impacts a cards lifespan.

Once again gaming does not abuse a card like mining, now you have read above about the conservative limits set on NV10-series your setting limit to 120% well its well within safe limits then and 80C melts ice not silicon.

Some of the photos of peeps with banks of cards in a hot basement spring to mind.

My cards (past/present) probably spends 99% of their time idling as I do non gaming things 99% of the time on my PC.

I have never bought any PC hardware from The Bay of Pigs, I would rather deal with a reliable shop with all their backup and support.

I have but rarely and all like new mint condition as I communicated with them before biding to make sure, and they do not want their high feedback ruined.

You should try it Kaap, I made a lot of money back selling my used gear to fund new builds without touching my own earned cash.

It is pointless sitting in a box in a loft depreciating in value and may not work years down the line like a few Commodores I try to store.
