I'm new to gaming pc building, so my friends have been helping me out and they recommended I make a post on these forums. I know £550 doesn't seem like a lot but I know its possible because I've already looked into specs and have an amazon basket full of items needed to build a PC (overall cost about £520). I want a PC that can run games like Rainbow Six Siege smoothly and consistently. Please help, it would be much appreciated.

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £509.91 (includes shipping: £18.12)

Windows can be sourced elsewhere for cheaper, I haven't added a GPU as youll only be looking at a 1030 which is no better than the onboard graphics on the CPU... If you really feel like youd rather have one then maybe take out the Monitor and HDD and grab yourself a 1050, thats if the monitor isnt needed for you. Also the PSU is a budget one but the other ideal ones are out of stock on OCUK

Thanks for the help but what if I took out just the SSD and got a 1050 as I am willing to go over £500?

By all means bud, only reason i said take HDD out is because SSD can be faster and less moving parts so reliable but its your choice

windows can be found cheaper, you can also get 22/23/24" screens for under £50 used depending on type and can buy brand new K/B & Mouse bundle for under £10 new if you shop around or you could add the cheap 18.5" led screen on this site thats on sale and tally up to £556.?? inclusive of shipping then find a cheap keyboard/mouse else where(hell go poundland for a mouse)

i own RB6S and used to play on an i3 4160, 16gb, gtx 750 1gb @ 1920x1080 at over 40fps on high preset or over 50fps @ 1366x768 on high preset and other than half the ram, i have selected a much better system.

its that(mine or the above builds)or you settle for used and buy a FX 6 or 8 core system or some i5k based system with a mid-high end graphics card, plenty to be found for your budget and some even include the monitor and peripherals and windows(some people will think no OS still warrants a high price so avoid these).

I have just put this build together for a friend it cost £511 if you can add little more to £550 budget you could add Windows oem which can be had for £10 from other places and a monitor
