I've just received the official apple case, does the job for me albeit its expensive
Now some of you will think I've gone completely mad. That being said, I've had a good chance to play around with both the iPhone X and the Galaxy S8 in the last few days - my current phones being the iPhone 7 and Galaxy S7.
Both the X and the GS8 are great phones with great screens. However, the more I've played around with them the more I've realised something. I think on balance I prefer bezels. I can't even provide a logical reason why. Both iterations with bezels just feel right in my hand in a way the GS8 and the X don't.
It could be that if I spent months with either I would think this is the future. If I were buying today I think I would go for the bezel versions of both.

I thought I'd miss the home button when I made the switch but anything the last few weeks has shown me is that I actually don't miss it and I get annoyed by it. I really hope I can go to using gestures on the iPad Pro, the button feels backwards now. Especially if I just want to swipe between 2 apps quickly. 1 swipe vs double click and swipe. Feels archaic

The attraction for me is the OLED display, thats already on the Samsung's but I really don't want to move to Android. There should be an iPhone phablet next year, that's the phone I REALLY want.
Yes, my GS7 is OLED. But given the choice between the S8 and my S7 I would still choose my S7. You can't help but get your fingers on the display of the bezeless screens, so you're immediately reducing the visible screen area. I do wonder if that's why the aspect ratio has been changed.
Samsung has a BF deal on S7 @£399.
Good if you need one. However, given I already have one, plus my iPhone 7 then I hardly need another.

For the first time today, I suddenly realised I had picked up my phone and was happily using it without even thinking about Face ID or authentication. Previously, I've always been aware of looking at it and unlocking it, but it's becoming completely natural now.

Due to the CPW saga, I ended up ordering directly through apple, and its looking to be delivered in the next couple of weeks. I haven't sold my s8+ I want to see how I like them both.. I might even keep one for work and one for the business.

I took a few quick night pics around London last week. They seem to be coming out quite nicely with all the great lighting so many buildings in central London have now.

Was thinking about the X, but due to stock I wasn't in a rush. Ordered from EE (just joining) on Friday, and received it 2PM the next day. Surprised me! Just waiting for my number to transfer over. Went with the 256GB in Silver, and AirPods
I never have a case on my iPhone's but this is so slippery I might have to so ordered a few cheap ones and a tempered glass protector. If I don't like them might just take out EE's insurance and keep it without a case!
