One of our two cats passed this weekend. It was my birthday on Saturday, and he came in Saturday night limping. Thankfully I don't drink really any more...so could take him to the emergency vets.

Thought he had been hit at first, turned out to he had thrown a clot. they looked after him for a few hours with painkillers to see if any improvement, but it just got worse. I went back and held his paw as the put him to sleep.

Ours is the same i turned round in the shower one day and she was watching threw the screen :eek:

No fear of water whatsover,while our last cat i just had to approach the sink and she bolted

Such a shame

I often wonder if my cat's happiness is affected by only going outside under supervision (on a harness). But whether it is or whether it isn't, the trade-off in life expectancy (round here cats die with tragic frequency, it's awful and people just keep acquiring more...) just never struck me as worth it.
