Was planning to go there today until I remembered it was Black Friday and decided to stay on the internet.

Got a lot of friends who work in the area, hope it's contained.

Quote from Sadiq Khan IIRC.

Or something along those lines.

That's just the thing, it keeps being completely misquoted

He said:

“Part and parcel of living in a great global city is you’ve got to be prepared for these things, you’ve got to be vigilant, you’ve got to support the police doing an incredibly hard job. We must never accept terrorists being successful, we must never accept that terrorists can destroy our life or destroy the way we lead our lives.”

Must have missed this by literally minutes, left my office at 4:30 near bond Street and was fine then had alerts pop up on my phone as soon as i left the tube

Yep,

Not really, he's saying that terrorism will never be defeated and all we can do is keep vigilant and carry on as normal when people get blown up/run down/shot/stabbed.

I went through Oxford circus on the Bakerloo line about 20 mins ago. All we were told was that the tube wasn't stopping at that stop.

Just shows you how much disruption is caused when everyone is on edge. You don't have to have a real incident to cause panic and disruption.

Hope everyone is ok, nobody needs this kind of worry at this time of year.
