VEGA 64 LC VS 1080ti or wait for Volta?

Is that the opposite plain to Jap eye?

In todays market, probably...... but I be surprised if prices jump that much....

970 when released was/is matching a 780ti and came in at £280/290 iirc?
1070 when released was/is matching a 980ti and came in at £350 iirc?

Think there's some crossed wires here, when you said "I don't want to be paying £640+ now only to find out a newer and improved card (with better low level API support etc.) arrives for £400 in <6 months time" people probably thought you meant a better card for £400 not just the same performance for less money.

Ah no, I mean just a card with similar performance arriving for less money in <6 months.

And by "better", I mean, in low level API games i.e. all the required hardware to truly benefit from async, dx 12/vulkan and not just relying on software or/and brute force to overcome issues.

1080ti performance with proper DX12/Vulcan support for even £450 is a no brainer...and exactly what it would take for me to upgrade my 980ti
