Are there any Lightroom alternatives that aren't terrible?

The other half has moved away from a full CC sub so I've lost my Lightroom access. I'm not buying into their sub bs myself.

So I either need to purchase LR6 while it's still available with a perpetual license, or find a decent alternative.

I tried RawTherapee earlier and...nope. Is there anything else out there? I know GIMP quite well but it's really the workflow from Lightroom I'm after.

I bought ON1, it's quite good, I use it as a plugin via lighthouse. It has good erasing tools. Think it's around $100, they jut released a new version too

Luminar is being pushed by a lot of folks lately it seems, but I've no idea if it does everything you're looking for. Also, the Windows version is not as full featured as the iOS version.

That's looking pretty good for 50 EUR for the Sony version (My cameras are an A7 and RX100, and not likely to change), thanks!

The express version for Sony cameras is actually free and has most features - give that a try first and see how you get on. I'm having to use it because Lightroom doesnt yet support the A7R3.

Might not be considered the same as LR but DXO PhotoLab's is used by some.

I agree have been using with my current stand alone LR.

Seems like they are going to announce Capture One Pro 11 tomorrow, might be worth a look.
