Hi there

As is well known memory prices have being consistently increase the past few months and continue to do so, however as always OcUK enjoys bucking the trend and we have some totally amazing pricing on DDR4 DRAM that undercuts our competitors. Even better all our DRAM deals are using the very high-end TeamGroup memory which uses very good IC so those who enjoy overclocking can also get some nice overclocking results.

Keep an eye on our weekly offers tomorrow as we shall be adding more memory lines to our weekly offers, the current offers above are on our Black Friday section and will end 2nd December.

The only reason we can do this on TeamGroup / 8 Pack memory in particular is because I order around 5000 kits every month, as such I have a lot of inventory from last month which I have allocated to online sales, once these are gone pricing will have to increase as many of these offers are actually below our re-buy cost as our re-buy on all brands increases every week unfortunately.

So be sure to grab a memory kit, its hard to say the pricing is good, months ago it was far cheaper, but in the current climate these prices are the best in the UK and OcUK has the largest selection of memory online.

Don't ask for other brands, we have put everything we can on offer by This Week Only tomorrow, a quick shop around will see this is very good pricing in the current DRAM climate. :)

the 8 Pack RAM sure is good spec wise. I just am so torn between slower G. Skill Trident RGB!

Also 3200mhz vs 3600mhz argh

Nothing TeamGroup is exceptional and we now sell more TeamGroup than any other brand, including the big names such as Kingston and Corsair.

I'd personally now only ever purchase TeamGroup or G.Skill for my own personal system. :)

Phew, thought perhaps duds or something ;)

will 3200mhz DDR4 be ok on a clocked 8600K with 120hz+ monitor & GTX 1080 or should I plump for 3600mhz? thanks

What's the difference between the Vulcan and Nighthawk in terms of PCB design and memory chips used? I'm referring to the same size kits, ie 2x16GB. I was under the impression that they are the same apart from LEDs and heatsink designs. It looks like the description on Team Group web site is a bit different for them. It almost seems like Nighthawk is a higher quality product. But I'm not sure if that's not just marketing.

Many thanks.

All the Teamgroup stuff is pretty high-end as they are a big OEM memory manufacturer, so they manufacturer for other memory brands, including one of the biggest names out there from time to time.

However they do not state IC, as such it will run at the specification listed, but any overclocking mileage is unknown. For overclocking we recommend the 8 Pack versions which come with Samsung B die or G.Skill Trident RGB stuff if overclocking is on the agenda. :)

Thanks for the info. The G.Skills are a bit outside my budget. I was considering 8 Packs but couldn't find 2x16GB version so decided to forget max performance and get something mid-range. I went for the Vulcans on Friday as I figured they should have similar performance as Nighthawks. After you lowered prices for the Nighthawks on Monday and they became cheaper than Vulcans I did a bit more digging and found some indication they may actually have different design and maybe even use different memory chips. But that wasn't 100% confirmed and more reading between the lines, really. One way or another, I decided to RMA the Vulcans and ordered the white Nighthawks earlier today. It just makes more sense to me even if it turns out they are exactly the same sticks under the heatsinks.

These what you after?

OCUK are turning into rainforest with changing prices and claiming to be on offer when if you check they have gone up in price here is example Dark Pro 8gb 3000mhz was listed as 79.99 now it's 89.99 but it's claiming it's 9% off saving.

I keep getting stung with adding items to basket going to checkout and prices have increased (stock levels still showed the same on items so it's not case of they have sold a bunch at the time)

The basket won't hold the price for you. Just the item.

Also all these offers on the forum do not update, they will only ever show the price it was at the time.

So you think it's ok to add item to basket then go to checkout and price has changed?

Not sure you are understanding I am not on about really old posts (they should remove these if offers over) this is day before it's listed on sale £79.99 then next day it's on sale again but it's higher price £89.99 so how is it sale if the price has gone up?

If it's below rrp it's still a sale price. I know it's hard to stomach but ram pricing is increasing almost daily

Then it should have just upped the price not claiming it sale price or rrp then bring it back down this is how rainforest gets away with it and super markets.

You can not have it at sale price and then claim while it's on that sale up the price to then claim again it is on sale at higher price you will find we have rules against that.

Thread is a week old, I made it clear we were selling memory below our re-buy cost, even the slightly increased prices are still below re-buy as were mixing new stock arrived with old inventory to average our cost lower to keep strong deals.

Our pricing is still way below competition and memory prices are still rising, the expression snooze you loose, I am doing my absolute best to hold the memory prices down but as more new stock arrives boosting my average cost up I am forced to increase the sell price, I simply cannot sell at cost or a loss.

The item your talking about was a limited amount of stock and the price was very aggressive hence why the majority of the stock sold so fast forcing my hand to put pricing back up.

What I can do as I still have some old stock is offer you this kit, same kit, but runs at 3200MHz, of course you could run it at 3000MHz if you so wish:

Team Group Dark Pro 8GB (2x4GB) DDR4 PC4-25600C16 3200MHz Dual Channel Kit - Black/Grey (TDPGD48G3200HC16ADC01) @ £79.99 inc VAT

3200MHz RAM Speed, CAS 16-16-16-36 Timings, 1.30-1.35v VDIMM, Lifetime Warranty with OcUK.

Only £79.99 inc VAT.

We have 9 left in stock which is very sold stock I own which was purchased in September and I will be bluntly honest, I own these kits at $77.10, plus shipping and logistic cost. My cost to replenish this stock today is $104 direct from TeamGroup Asia. Makes our landed cost around £82 exc VAT, once margin is added on top we would sell it for £110-£120, as such you can see how much below market price my memory deals are, hence their success.

So now maybe you understand why memory prices change fast, its very volatile and goes up almost daily, I have being doing deals from old inventory I have.

Amazon cannot even come close to my memory pricing, so pretty poor argument and Amazon won't communicate with you on a level like I am, nor can they offer technical advice of any kind because they used to sell books, we are a specialist but it does seem at times when we try to help people, they come moaning because they were too slow to react and then its all of a sudden our fault.

Good deals sell fast, please act quick on the above deal because I can assure you the guys here reading this thread will go and buy it, I've limited it to 1pc per customer to give you the best chance. :)
