Z77-3dh upgrade

Your CPU is still ok (especially with a bit of an overclock), seems a shame to spend money replacing it all when you just need to find a working motherboard.
 
The problem with trying to source a replacement board is that prices are just ridiculous for used boards now and in many cases are asking more than what they were when new.
 
AMD or Intel?

What cooler do you have as you can keep it if you go intel (the socket mountings havent changed, just need new thermal paste)

Probably not as good overall, but the Z270 Maximus hero is a more expensive board.

The Gigabyte one isnt missing anything, it has a m.2, it does SLI+Crossfire, It has USB3.0 and 3.1 on the rear.

That is what I linked to above, it looks unbeatable considering you are getting an i7/16GB RAM/Cooler+board and instructions/preset profile to enable a 4.8GHz overclock all complete with warranty.

I have the 8400, no bottlenecks and just solid, but i got at launch price £170​
