Did I park like a boob?

I'd have personally offered to reverse the car out of the space for her if she can't do it. In a really annoying, arrogant and obnoxious way.

I think I need a hot drink to wake me up... :D

Next up from the OP: My car got keyed, will this T-Cut out?

Srsly, that looks fine, but obviously people will take umbrage because people gonna people.

This is actually very true. I worked in Chilworth once, for thos ethat know the area, you'll know it's full of posh people so you'd never expect any issues with people. One day I parked in a spot outside the building, and came back to find the car had been keyed with something racist.

Obviously someone who parks in the same spot often didn't like that their favourite spot was in use.

I think we can see why she drove away in a hurry...

I cant be the only one who always reverses in to every space?

I find it much easier in my 5 series anyway, the front of the car is pretty long so reverse parking just solves lots of problems.

No you're not, but we seem to be in the minority.

Think that was a good spot to pick.
Another point as well, if everyone reversed IN to their spaces it would cause even less hassle when they wanted to leave.
Always found it so much easy to reverse in initially and then just drive straight out.

As above, I can understand driving in at a supermarket CP, when access to the boot may be needed, but as you stated, it's so much easier to drive out if you reverse in, and probably safer if your vision is restricted by blindspots when reversing.

So what do you reckon, did I park like a boob or was it clever? I thought it was a good 'new' parking space as in theory everyone has enough room to get out the bays on all sides! However about an hour later I get an email for the admin team asking me to move my car so Ms. White BMW 1 Series (next to the red audi TT) can get out. When I moved out the way she revved the engine and burned away with some poverty spec diesel wheelspin, so I don't think she was impressed! I personally think you could have got the Titanic out of that parking space without moving my car, but whatever.

Plenty of room there, I could have moved a long wheel base van out of there with no issues.

You should either have replied with "if she can't get her car out of there she shouldn't be driving, or maybe I'll show her how it's done!" or, now she's driven like that, send another email to the admin team explained her behaviour and how dangerous and aggressive it was.

Also, take in some white paint, park your car like that again and just paint a parking space around it :D

My golf I reverse in but the A4 has a stupid back end and no sensors so i'd rather drive in forward and reverse out. Always reverse my Corrado's in as well.

Really depends on the car.

My 5 series is the estate/touring version so has a reversing camera and sensors, so that helps.

But this week I've had a Nissan Qashqai courtesy car and that is pretty small but I still reverse park that everywhere.

I want a Tesla Model 3/S and that'll park itself and drive out to you, so problem solved in cases like this. You don't even need space to get in and out of the door

Frankly councils should insist when building these places that there's a minimum of 1 bay to 2 employees. Rather than some places which seem to have 1:10.

We recently moved from a research campus where the council imposed a maximum of 0.6 spaces per person, as part of a scheme trying to encourage public transport and cycling. They did build quite a good cycle path to reach the campus, buses run by Stagecoach so naturally pretty poor service for the price.

Annoying as it may be at least you didn't come back to your car with a big PCPwhite1series sized dent in it...

Great if you're parked next to another car with the same function, if you're not then how do you expect them to get in their car?

Next time park there and come armed with a can of white paint. Park up and paint a white box around where your car is parked. Voila, legit parking space created. No snooty work colleagues.

Out of interest, does anyone lift share, or is it all one person = one car.

Please do this. :p

Or just use chalk. :p

That's so cool, but it's weird that it has to brake early on. You would have thought that it could just map a pathway to cruise in and hit the brakes at the end.
