Ok so got a 290 and got my Lg UW monitor connected via DP and the TV by HDMI.

1. how can I seamlessly play content from my pc be it videos or games on the Tv whilst keeping the monitor turned on/active at the same time? I don't want to mirror/clone the displays or just have 1 display active at the time

2. I want to set a custom res. for the tv as my gpu is only capable of 60HZ @ 1920x1080 (with 4:4:4 and 10 bit), tried doing it via AMD but it says it isn't supported???

3. When connected to my PC, the black level setting should be set to high, right?

4. Is there anyway to stop my PC from resizing &moving windows every time I switch back and forth between the TV and monitor?

For question number 1

I think your going to need to set the TV as the main display to be able to play games on it...

But Videos should play on it fine when it set as a second display

Think you need HDMI version 2.0 to be able to output 4k over HDMI (But am really not sure if this is correct )

EDIT : Just done a bit of searching on this
HDMI 1.4 supports 3,820x2,160 up to 30fps
HDMI 2.0 supports 3,820x2,160 up to 60fps

What version HDMI version does your GPU have ?

Thought that :(

Right PITA switching screens etc. Would be nice to be able to play a game on the Tv whilst having the monitor on my desktop/browser. Is there any software like display fusion that makes things a bit more seamless and that can achieve the above?

I think having different aspect ratio displays is ******* up the windows resizing etc. too, no idea how to stop it.....

Also, when I go to display settings when the tv is the active display, I can't change any settings i.e. resolution or even enable HDR.....

I can output full 4k 4:4:4 10 bit but at the cost of being stuck to 30HZ, I just want to switch to 1920x1080 60hz but I get the error message saying this isn't supported but it should be as other people have :/

And my GPU has 1.4a HDMI connection.

CS:GO????

Meh!

:p

And yeah having a look at rtings review, it seems to be a feature of 2017 oleds, although they didn't find the input lag any lower than 1920x1080 @ 60hz. Either way, I am very pleased with the "responsiveness" of the tv for gaming, sure it isn't great when playing fps with a m+k but everything else and especially with a controller, you don't notice it at all.

Any advice on getting a custom 21.9 res working successfully:
