Tea drinkers - Which varieties do you drink?

This was my loose leaf collection at the start of the year. I also added some tea from Amazon, which I really like the taste of, so can recommend.

I am now down to just 9 varieties!

I only drink black teas, English Breakfast, Afternoon, Assam etc, second flush/ftgfop and so on. Green/fruity fllavoured teas are not my bag.

In my cupboard I currently have:
PG, Ceylon, Chai, Lapsang Souchong, Oolong, Assam, Darjeeling, Earl Grey, Lady Grey, Black/Green Blend and Whittard Original blend.

I love the taste of tea!

I know there are some tea drinkers on the boards here, so I was wondering what different varieties you guys enjoy and which is your favourite?

Out of mine my current favourite is Ceylon

Ooh good question. I like : Darjeeling, Ceylon, Earl Grey. Dislike Lapsang Souchong and even green tea with lemon is nice even though I simply have to have a dash of milk in it can't quite go cold turkey on that. Earl Grey is my favourite.

Usually though its just Co-op Red Label as I can't justify the cost of the fancy stuff. Which is surprisingly good tea for a supermarket brand had some Typhoo a while back it was awful stuff, like sweepings off the floor. Which it probably is.

Got boxes of Assam (basically alcohol free Newcie brown :p), English breakfast, & a box of PGTips. First time had loose leaf PGTips, tastes like sugar.

I drink a lot of tea, but not plain tea with milk..

Rooibos dragonfly vanilla and breakfast versions are great, dr stuarts camomile tea (makes me feel sleepy) and imo is nicer than twinings camomile, matcha green imperial tea (wakes me up), matcha powder tea occasionally when i need a boost to wake up more (expensive).
pukka wonderberry tea (tastes like flapjacks :)
twinings salted caramel, twinings do a nice fudge tea aswel
twinings cranberry and raspberry with white sugar

Green tea is about the only tea I like, the stronger the better.
Peppermint is also always stocked as it helps my stomach issues - luckily I like the taste too.

I dislike "normal" tea so was amazed to see green/black/white tea were all from the same plant! o.O

All those drinking Earl Grey?! - my God, revolting :(

Currently drinking Yunnan Imperial and Sichuan Zao Bai Jian Spring bought from Imperial Teas :)

I've been working my way through the Teapigs range and I'm liking quite a few of their teas but I'm concerned about the pricing and paying £4 for 15 teabags on a regular basis! The quality of their teas seems so much higher than anything I've tried before though and I don't want to back to Tetley/Yorkshire/etc teabags! I must be getting snobby in my old age :)

Can anyone recommend any loose leaf teas with quality on a par to what's in Teapig's bags? Happy to invest in a strainer/infuser if required as I expect loose leaf is probably going to be the way to go for quality and value.

I ripped a Teapigs teabag open while trying to detach the string the other day. I was in tears. All that money wasted.

+1 I've felt that pain. Maybe I should send the faulty pyramid back and demand a refund ;)

I realise I'm griping about something that only costs pennies but if I switched to Teapigs over the usual brands of teabags I'd be over £300 out of pocket over the year given I normally have 3-4 cups a day so it does add up!

I'm not going back to Tetley though so I'd like to investigate alternatives

I drink Redbush/Rooibos tea, love it. I'm defo a tea drinker over coffee but as much as I can drink 'normal' tea I much prefer Rooibos.
