980Ti Getting very hot? 2x fan PCI Slot?

so my card is getting hot even at idle, the temps seem okay but its just the back plate thats getting very very hot.

I know the back plate is there to take the heat away from the GPU but would a PCI double fan slot do anything to help towards this?

If so can you buy a double fan that runs from the PCI slot or do you still have to 4/3 pin connect them?

If temps are fine, then I wouldn't worry about the backplate being hot to the touch.

What are the temps?

never seen it go above 78c


what is the max i should let it go when overclocking ect?

Dunno, but they have a target temperature of 83c or so (check in afterburner) and they will throttle themselves to keep them there, so its pretty hard to make it go to a dangerous level.

78c is fine...ran mine mining at 80c for weeks
