fortunately they seem to have gotten relatively lucky with this one

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2017/12/11/new-york-police-respond-reports-explosion-inmanhattan/

A bomb has exploded on a Manhattan subway platform leaving four people injured in a suspected-Isil-inspired attack.

The suspected bomber is Akayed Ullah, a 27-year-old Bangladeshi national who is thought to have lived in the US for seven years.

Ullah, who lived in Brooklyn, was armed with a five-inch metal pipe bomb and battery pack as he walked through a midtown Manhattan transit hub, sources told the New York Post.

The device prematurely exploded which meant it only partially detonated in the right side of the suspect's jacket.

Ullah, who is thought to have been seriously injured in the attack, told officials he made the explosive device at the electrical company where he works, according to the New York Post.

Has ISIS claimed responsibility for this??

Oh wait?? Why would they?? Seems like the idiot who tried to set this off was so hilariously inept that it went off before causing any real damage.

ISIS probably thinking what a ******* noob :p

On a more serious note, thankfully it didn’t cause any great harm.

Might help to stop the next one in 7 years.

Not really sure if serious or not. Posing reactive or preventative travel bans just harms relationships between countries we should be on the "bigger" side of trying to mend. If an organisation wants somebody to go blow themselves up then they will find somebody regardless of any imposed bans. Same reason illegal activities are rife in prisons despite them being a correctional facility directly opposed to said crimes.

They said this guy was a national for 7 years. If a ban was in place 7 years ago. He wouldn't be in the country, this wouldn't had happened.

It's honestly no different to Jose Inez Garcia Zarate an illegal Alien who murdered Kate. If he wasn't able to get into the country, she still be alive today.

We can talk about "what if" all day to the cows come home.

Better batten down the batches then and stop everybody coming in to the country! Trumps wall better scale the coast and shut down the airports in that case

Ah apologies, originally the video I saw was from an other source and wanted to stay clear of it and instead googled for the same video else where, that what I found, didn't really look too closely, since I was distracted with eating at the same time. lol
