For the 4th year in a row, White Males are disadvantaged at university. Claims UCAS

So what's stopping them going to uni?

Helping remove the stigma around white males at university will help. Stop spreading the myth that white males are oppressors, rapists and beneficiaries of white privilege and start bringing people together, rather then driving them apart.

This is the first I'm hearing about a stigma for white males at university

Also I love how a thread about white males has already mentioned feminism, SJWs, trans people, and minorities :D

That's because you aren't part of the white males circle jerking each other in a panic, because women are gradually getting equality.

Basically, there is no stigma unless you sit on YouTube and Reddit all day.

Do you go to university? It doesn't sound like you've ever been near one.

What you read on the internet about a white male oppression isnt happening in real life

Yes, currently at one.

Yeah of course not sweet heart, it's all just make believe like climate change right?

Ahhh you're a male feminist. I'm so sorry for you.

Ironically there is the statistically larger chance of you being a sexual abuser, so that's interesting.

I think it's the non white women that are in need of equality but that's another thread

Do you feel oppressed? Have you been labeled a rapist/oppressor?

Go on...

Why don't they get proportional help then, all the programs are directed towards minorities.

There may be programmes supporting those from BAME backgrounds but the equivalent of that would be for people from white backgrounds NOT people from working class backgrounds.

As you should hopefully know, statistics without context mean nothing. How many children from working class WHITE backgrounds leave school with the grades the grades for college and beyond? How many of them actually apply for college and university? If they're not applying then why aren't they?

This is worth a read, about promoting and supporting working class students

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/e...ite-millions-spent-to-encourage-a6879771.html

I realise though that for some it's easier to blame others for everything, whether it's not getting to university or getting a job.

Not blaming anyone, people are lazy, dumb stupid nasty take your pick.
Just a level playing field would be nice.

What's wrong with helping everyone? Race shouldn't be a reason to get extra help.
Or gender, or sexual preference, religious belief, age, etc

Do you feel oppressed?

Depends what you mean by that.

There is a female only bus service from town to the uni, no men are allowed and do not have access to a similar service.

There have been in the last 10 weeks 5 different activist movements pushing their rhetoric in the union about how oppressed females are, with a lot of blame being thrown at men.

There is 'lite' affirmative action policies in play within lectures and student admissions, to such an extent were a lecturer will actively not address white males unless absolutely the last person needing help.

There is a push to remove a large proportion of text book authors with BAME orientated ones.

Do i feel oppressed? No.

Do other men? Possibly.

It's Thursday night, shouldn't you be out on the razz socialising and shagging loads of hot students

The last thing i want to do right now is engage in drunken sex with a woman. False rape claims are everywhere and 'take back' consent is a big thing in student campus, so yeah i'm not risking my livelihood thanks.

How many of them actually apply for college and university?

Answered in the UCAS reports.

How's the home schooling going?

Do you see any link between being a white male - albeit with a wife who looks after you - and your views on the need for white males to retain their status at the expense of anyone who isn't a white male?

OP, forget what other people are doing, concentrate on yourself, get your grade, get your own job and "show them". If you are that bitter about the girls doing better at exams, study hard is how you get them back, not acting like you got the short end of the stick in life and was born, white, male, in a democratic society.

Of all things to be bitter and upset about, I can't believe you moan about being white and male. WTF.

Would you rather be black, a girl, from Nigeria?

No? I didn't think so.
