Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [15th - 18th December 2017]

There should have been a fair few more red cards today. Alli and Kane should definitely have been sent off, Ottamendi was lucky to only get a yellow, and Tarkowski got away with a sly elbow on Murray. I wouldn't be surprised if Tarkowski gets a ban seeing as the officials missed it, plus I expect Lanzini to get a ban for diving, that's the kind of thing the new retrospective action is there for.

Was also good to see how Citeh crumbled without the irreplaceable David Silva.

A miracle they adapted to being without him.

De Bruyne is and has been their most vital player for quite a while now. City have good a very strong squad and there is a lot of depth in it but I want to see how well they do without De Bruyne at some point this season.

City can rely on Sane, Sterling, Fernandinho, Aguero, Silva, Silva, Gundogan instead.
I mean De Bruyne while extremely good, isn't the reason for the City's success.

Oh they have a great team no doubt but De Bruyne is a massive stand out amongst those guys. They won't fall to pieces but De Bruyne has been a monster this season.

This is a pretty depressing game at the moment.

Gary Neville made a good point before the game, a good chunk of the starting line up and team were bought when Sir Alex was still here, all the money spent since then and the team is barely any better. What a joke.

As I write that, Lukaku scores a great header :p
