about bloody time
Same as the formula minus the watercooling and fancy LCD ROG display
for me z370 is a just a stop gap so dont want to spend too much money on it thats why i went with the Code when normally i am a Formula/Extreme man
it cost me £350 so formula could be up to £380-400+
Oooooh very nice, you've done well to get one so soon.
Info and images are starting to all pop up here and there in the UK now, so i think its just a case of any day and it'll be several places to buy/order.
It's a lovely board but with so many other boards reportedly reaching high VRM temps when pushing them and the fact i want this build to be custom looped, i kind of have my heart set on the formula, the code is identical in almost every other way as you say, and its gorgeous.
I know people are going to state i can buy a hero and whack a monoblock on it, but its not the same, the hero (in my eyes) looks nowhere near as aesthetically pleasing with the back and front armor and larger more streamlined chipset heatsink. I know the VRMs and cooling will be decent on either board but id feel a bit better with them under water.
I would anticipate that maybe z390 chips will fit and be also supported by Z370 boards, going by intels 2 generations per socket and the fuss kicked up with z270 to z370, i cant see them changing it again within less than a year unless they want bad press. I'd call z370 more socket 1151 v2 and there will be another generation to come and be supported. The pin array now supports the extra power delivery needed for extra cores as some pins on z270 were reserved.
Let me know hoe it performs
