Hi ,

Ive recently rebuilt my rig into a new case , Thermal tech View 71.
Mobo- Aorus z370 Gaming 7
CPU - 8700k oc to 4.5ghz
RAM - corsair RGB 16gb
GPU - Auros extreme 1080ti
CPU cooler - Corsair H115i
Fans - 2 x 140 in the front , 4 x 140 on the cpu cooler (push n pull At the top of the case) and 1 x 120 fan on the rear as exhaust.

Now ive only had the TI for about a week and im noticing highish temps , pubg last night i was hitting 72oc and my in game settings were at high , this in turn appeared to increase the overall heat on my system and the cpu cooler ramped right up , sounding like it was taking off , something is telling me somethings not quite set up correctly , im going to get a good 140mm fan for the rear exhaust , but any other ideas??

@Tonydb
case doesn't look to restrictive - what RPM are your front fans ? I tend to run mine and built systems at 80/100% when gaming or all the time using silent fans

worth adding extra 3rd front fan or one at the bottom to equal the pressure in the case- Positive pressure also makes less dust inside the case and gets intake air where you want it - negative the case draws air through any holes and gaps and disrupts smooth airflow in theory

might be worth setting up your custom fan profile! aorus cards like others only tend to spin at 60c+ and 72c isn't that high for Ti cards - but PUGB is highly optimised

try installing free copy of Unigene valley and 3d mark Firestrike and run in window mode and see how your GPU temps are - these should stress the card 100%

also worth using
My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £13.69 (includes shipping: £8.70)

on both CPU and GPU- gigabyte doesn't mind paste change - should help bring down temps on both at default fan profiles

Hi ,
Not sure on the front fans rpm they came with my old corsair 780t case , i am going to change them for 3 120mm hd120s .

Im not worried about the cpu temps as they were around the 50ish ( while gaming ) mark its the coolant levels inside the AIO that hit 40oc and in turn boosted the fans to 80% , i know its nothing really to worry about as its all doing what it should be , but my god it was noisy.

Ive also realised on my push/pull for the radiator i have on one side 2 hd140 fans and on the other some old corsair a140 i think they are , now i m guessing here but id of thought if i have the same fans on either side the air dissipation should be better ? As ive got 2 different speed fans either side so i guess the outer ones are hindering it a little bit .

Only concern really is the temp of the card , is that normal . Right now whilst im typing this it is 42oc . I

do you have 144hz 1440p screen ? cases for nvidia cards running full clock speed even when idle etc
been a while since i've used my Aorus card but sure idle was 30c to room temp of 19c

room temp also plays a big part in anything

idle does seem high- what setting did you set in nvidia control panel for performance - optimal or max performance ?

3 solid fans should provide air flow into the case, might be current fans don't have the power to draw and push through the case - but still would recommend doing the paste on the card- might find contact or paste was a bit poor from factory .

and its worth getting same fans for AIO- they'll be running different static and airflow rates - still be exhausting but not ideal

Im at 144hz and at 1080p , my monitor is a benq zowie xl2720

Ive got that paste on my cpu already , think ill put some on my card too .

And ive not touched the nvdia settings , is that the slide bar with the 3d image of the nvidia symbol your talking about , if so its on balanced now

ok so ive knocked down the 144hz to 100 and switched to adaptive , all thats happened is my screen looks foggy like theres a white film on it , temps still at 42

I normally leave mine on max

worth doing the bios flash as if its running the first Bios of the card TDP was set quite high, higher then needed .
after that and still idling high, thermal paste .

Wierd i reasd the auros programme itself was a pile of $^%& . so i got rid and installed MSI afterburner , already dropped to 38oc

yeah, MSI/evga is a lot better

you should just be able to download latest Bios version and then run the installer and will flash the card its self. non of this messing around with programs etc
