I know a few people on here attend track days so I thought it would be good to have a thread that people could update to say where they're going throughout the year or any plans they might have.

I can setup a Google spreadsheet as that might be easier than updating the OP to keep everything up to date.

It's handy for sharing garages and always nice to see a friendly face at a track day or book somewhere that a few of us are going to instead of being billy no mates in the paddock :D

I've booked a few dates for early next year already as there was an offer on to make it worthwhile.

February
Tue 20th - Oulton Park - Javelin

March
Wed 7th - Oulton Park - Javelin
Fri 23rd - Donington Park - Javelin

April
Tue 3rd - Spa - Javelin
Wed 4th - Spa - Javelin
 
I really want to do spa, i cant work out to do it in my m5 or track clio i assume more fun in the clio but its such a long way to trailer a car around.

I'll be trailering my M3 with the missus. She has family in Brussels so it's a win-win trip :D

I'm trying to tempt a mate with an M2 to come but not sure he will.

Need to decide whether to get the feet from Hull or drive down to the Eurotunnel. 2hrs vs 5.5hrs but an overnight ferry.

I wish my m5 had a towbar, that way i could trailer the clio and do one day with the clio and second with the m5 haha ...


hmmm towbars, I am determined to do spa next year in something or other
 
I'm looking at:

Bedford - February
Spa - April
Nurburgring DN20 - September

All in my Exige or a friends SC MX5, if mine I need to work out how to trailer it over there as I:

Have no trailer
Have no car capable of towing (Exige/GF's M135i)
 
Myself and Vix are likely to be on the Javelin Spa trip again. I've towed the MR2 down the last couple of times we've been but hoping to have something suitable that we can just drive down in this year.
 
I have just booked spa for 3/4th april, cant decide weather to take my track clio (trailer job) or m5 f10 :(

youtube videos show the m5 lapping faster a bit easier where the clio needs to have its neck ringed out for laptimes also a lot easier to drive the m5 there and back..

Eau Rouge will be flat in a standard powered Clio :cool:

A standard M5 will do sub-3min which is impressive, but I always feel underwhelmed by OEM cars on tracks with any kind of technicality.

yeah the clio is supercharged so 310 odd bhp but it will still be fairly easy drive.

Its just weather i fancy the fuss of towing all the way out, the clio will be more fun for sure but will lack on the long straights

i would also imagine if one was to break it would be the clio lol
 
Fit a tow bar to the M5, then you have a backup plan?

If the Clio is 300bhp, then I'd say it was a no brainer. Better power to weight than the M5 assuming it's a 172/182?, the only place you'd lose out to the M5 is up Kemmel, I reckon.
 
Provisional sprint dates for 2018 are out, I'd expect to be at all of these either as a competitor or an official:

Not 2018, but I'm at Donington Park on the 30th December :) never been round in a car but it looks like a nice wide track.
