Looking to upgrade my brothers PC (HP 550-105) for him with a proper dedicated GPU, currently has a AMD Radeon R5 330. Must be low power as the PSU is around 180W and small form factor. PCI-E.

Any recommendations as to what might be suitable would be great.

He games at 1080p, CPU is an i5 6400.

As the PSU is so weak then I can only recommend one card, the 1050ti, as it's limited to PCIE power at 75w. I'm running one of these in my microserver, which has a 200w PSU, x5 HDD's and a 45w CPU (standard CPU in these is 17w!), so power envelope while small should still easily be enough. The 1050ti is drawing a max of 69w on my server and it did play pube g at 30-70fps depending on what part of the map (that's in 1080p everything set to very low). I'd imagine that will jump up at least 10fps on the minimum now the game has had several updates, but not checked as I play it on my gaming rig now.

When we get back from our trip I'll test out pubg on the server again, see how latest update plays on the 1050ti. It was just about playable before the later updates so would expect it to be half decent.

Pubg runs like a bag of crap, honestly, it may be out of early access but for an ugly game it didn’t run well at all. I honestly would look at getting a new PSU and the cheapest 1060 you can get, if funds allow
