BBC TV channels to add more religion

The public: 'The BBC is too left wing!'
Also the public: 'The BBC is too right wing!'

This is a good indication that the BBC is getting it right.

Atheists like the perspective that absence of belief in God = atheist but personally I'm not a fan of that - there is a distinction between those who've never consciously thought about whether they believe in god(s) or not, those that actively don't or won't believe in god(s) without evidence and those that are so to speak on the fence like myself.

On the fence you say? There is zero evidence for any gods existence. The intelligent among us dismiss god/s as a fiction.

On the fence as in I really don't care if god(s) exist or don't exist and until evidence one way or the other don't have a position.

Evidence one way or the other you say? There is no evidence for a god. You don't have a position you say? What? Of course you do. Either you believe or you don't. Do me a favour and be honest.

I don't care whether god(s) exist or not - sure I don't actively "believe" in God or whatever but neither do I actively take the position that there is no god(s).

EDIT: You remind me a lot of my cousin actually in the way you approach this subject - brought up in a fairly religious household he is a vocal atheist almost vitriolic often posting scathing memes and cartoons to facebook.

There isn't just one - there are several elementary particles, etc. I can see how you aren't understanding what I'm talking about if you aren't aware of that. While there is a lot we don't know about them we do have a fairly reasonable grasp of how they work and interact with each other.
I was under the impression whatever the 'fundamental' particles (if they are particles) are is not currently known.

You watched Fargo? Stranger Things? Breaking Bad? Netflix is awesome.
*Cough* Narcos, Rick and Morty, DareDevil,... entire back catalogue of some classic shows.

How some people say they can't find anything to watch on Netflix is beyond me. If I'm really stuck I might push the boat out and rent something on Prime.

I struggle at times even with Netflix and Amazon video - stuff like Narcos generally doesn't hold my attention so much of it I can predict what is going to happen, etc. these days. I do find the odd quirky show on Netflix though that I do like a lot - stuff that often kind of bombed on release but is more niche or an acquired taste rather than bad bad.

Yea the BBC is definitely left. But also panders to the government at the time (because if they don't, they might scrap the extortion racket they have going on).

That’s your belief yes, as there’s zero evidence to prove that a supreme being doesn’t exist.

I’m not going to make a definitive assessment either way without scientific evidence to back it up.

Science points strongly towards man made god and not god made man. Infinite regress is a week argument Hence the dumb question, who made god.

Amazes me that folk think that an Atheist has burden of proof here, I'm presuming these folk are fence sitting on the question of unicorns and fairies at the bottom of the garden since there is no definitive proof they don't exist either. This is why we have a burden of proof, the religious person makes a supernatural claim, the atheist rejects it on the ground of insufficient evidence.

Personally, I'll withhold my credulity on any supernatural claim, until it has met its burden of proof. Anything asserted without evidence can be rejected without evidence.
