AMD HD5670 to GTX970 - drivers update

I am about to upgrade my sons rig from AMD to Nvidia. Been a long time since I did it and it used to be an issue when changing from ATi to Nvidia or vice versa.

Anything special I need to do or does WIN10 take care of it all nowadays anyway?

Uninstall the AMD drivers from add remove. Shutdown and swap cards, then install the latest NVIDIA drivers.

Nothing special needed.

I would use ddu to uninstall the current gpu drivers and then shutdown. Put in the new card and install the nvidia drivers

I would do this as it would completely remove the drivers, DDU is amazing!
