Ever seen Idiocracy?
Just out of curiosity, do any of them hold down proper jobs? We had a SJW join us in our office and only lasted 2 months before she was let go. She annoyed the hell out of everyone and she was terrible at her job
I think it's more likely to go the other way. A global elite with a force of unquestioning drones will put down the vast majority of humanity as they will have no need of them. Or they will wall themselves off and let the poor fight to the death
What I don't see happening is mankind solving its problems for the beneift of all. Star Trek's "24th century" society to me seems much more fantastical than any of the dystopian visions for teh future.
One does and she's probably one of the smartest people I've ever met, though she's not quite at the full on ridiculous end of the spectrum she is very pro-feminism, affirmative action had strong views on the google employee e-mail etc..
The others who pop up on my Facebook feed are generally people involved in the performing arts. I don't know who it was who said in this thread or one of the others that this is just internet stuff but I can assure you it isn't - try getting dragged along to some slam poetry event in London, have a look at what is going on on some university campuses... I'd consider myself to be fairly liberal but some of this stuff just gets ridiculous... it is amusing though.

I can't stand people like that, she's absolutely nuts. Denying abuse for an entire gender and proclaiming all abuse equally damaging.
She's the type that thinks a man can't be raped and also obviously thinks that a man or woman who has been raped is no more a victim than the woman who gets wolf whistled going down the street. To say that abuse isn't able to be ranked by severity is utterly absurd.
People who speak like that come across as those people who have a friend who was raped who got a huge amount of sympathy and didn't like the attention so when they got their bum pinched they acted the same way and demand the same attention.
Was it? Every decade has had its good and bad.
Obviously the goal is to have companies refuse to hire/mentor male applicants. The point of sustained propaganda against a biological group is to promote prejudice and discrimination against everyone in that group. It's also to promote the idea that a specific biological characteristic is an identity, that individuals don't really exist and, of course, to gain power from all that. Creating a strong belief in group identity and positioning one such group identity as The Inferior That Causes All Bad Things and another group identity as The Oppressed Superior allows some people to position themselves as The Glorious Hero and thus gain power. It's nothing new - modern feminist propaganda uses the same stereotypes as pro-"white" propaganda in the USA during segregation, with men taking the place of "blacks" and Jews and women taking the place of "whites", but the general idea has been used against various groups in various places for at least as long as recorded history and probably long before then.
