I would love to see woolworths come back to the high street as it used to be my favourite shop and also the first shop I went into every time I went into town.

As of April 2017, there are talks of Woolworths making a comeback to British high streets, as former director Tony Page wants to buy the Woolworths name from Shop Direct

But I very much doubt it could make it on the high street in this day and age as are town is always empty these days..

Magazines, CD, toys and pick and mix ?

Nooooo it sells the same stuff as Tesco, Sainsbury’s etc minus the food. The first 2 are on their deathbeds and the last 2 is not a specialty.

Is there any need?

Ewww high Street, where parking is a nightmare an expensive. Things general have rubbish opening times and you have to fight with zombies who stand and chat in doorways and isles.
Nah close more of the high street down.

Think the difference for me is that I don't have any of them shops over here ;)

I guess my local Sainsbury’s has Argos attaches to it...so that’s toys covered along with all the other stuff.

Woollies will not last 2 mins in my town, I rather shop in TK Maxx.

High streets are dead for shopping. Nowadays they seem to just be full of takeaways, wetherspoons and Turkish barbers. Most of the country has a shopping centre not too faraway. I’m five minutes from Bexleyheath p, which isn’t bad for general household shopping, and 15 minute drive to Bluewater for everything else.

Get rid of the poundland shops. They aren't cheaper, they're just full of tat that no one needs or small portions of things you buy elsewhere.
