Hi All,

I've got a ryzen 1800x on a crosshair hero motherboard and a strix 1080Ti

I'll be cooling the CPU (mono block) and also my GPU (housed in a 900D case)

For watercooling I was going to go with the following 2 Radiators

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £165.48 (includes shipping: £10.50)

do you think the following would leave room in future to add an additional 1080ti without killing temperatures?

I would just go the the quad, it's a pretty beefy radiator.

The addition of the single slim would be negligable in terms of temps and could even reduce performance due to flow ( depending on your loop ).

The quad would also be fine for a 2nd gfx card.

It wouldn't make that much of an impact on flow.
Heck I have a Eisbear pump with 2x360 rads 1x240 and 2 gtx 1080 alphacool blocks and my temps are all fine.

Bare in mind the flow from the Eisbear is really low compared to a d5 and such

Oh and I'm not even running my pump at full speed (at full pelt its only 70 l/h compaired to 1500 l/h on an ek d5 pump)

Yes, hence my use of 'could' reduce flow.

My main point was that the single slim 120mm would make little to zero difference to loop temps when added to 480mm thick rad.

I run 2 x 360s' and a single 120 in my rig ( in signature ).

The single 120 is largely cosmetic because i could fit one there, rather than any performance value.

I would just add it anyway. Means he can run the fans a little bit slower for the same temps. But that's just me as I like the look of setups with multiple rads compaired to 1 rad

Might just stick to the 480mm then as its highly unlikely that ill be able to afford another £900 on a 2nd gpu + block in the short term. Might actually get the nemesis black ice gts/gtr as they seem to perform 6-8 degress cooler than the EK and are similar price and optimised for low speed fans

EK SE is a complete potato, HWLabs is a great rad. I’ve got a 4 in my build, one is the 480mm.

My advice would be to bin the single and just focus on getting good air flow through and out. Adding something over the fan will limit it, particularly if you add a high FPI rad... vs your low FPI lovely Black Ice.
