ebay headsup - ** You're too late, it's over now **

Thanks OP, bought some bits and pieces that I was looking to buy anyways. The 20% code came in handy :).

Bought a patio door, kitchen window, 3 kitchen lights, a new oven, sockets and some other bits across a few accounts.

Yes i have a large project going on lol.

Saved £47.28 on pair of Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3 225/35 R19 88Y XL with MFS tyres for my Skoda Octavia VRS. Very boring as a purchase but that's £90 cheaper than my last set that were comparable in quality :D:D:D

After about an hour of trying to buy the Switch from eBay...it seems that PayPal was blocking Argos as a merchant from my account, so could not finish the transaction... I phoned them and they apologised but "there was nothing they could do". I could only use PayPal to pay, so had no other option. Currently waiting for a callback from eBay, to ask them if they can do something....:(

Hmm might setup a couple of other ebay accounts for this in future, so many main stream companies now selling through eBay that it makes it work the risk from reputable sellers now.

That’s how they get ya!

Though seriously, part of your basket wasn’t applicable to the deal then. £150 of savings is only a £750 basket.

It was a maximum of £75 off per account.

I was thinking of getting a new TV, but ran away from spending £875 and bought a feather mattress topper instead to save £4.80 :)

Bought some suspension for my noble a while back but was going to pay on collection. Saw this offer on hotukdeals just in time so paid by paypal, saved £75 :D

and that's why it's good to have 2 ebay and 2 PP accounts :D
btw you could have always paid using cc via PP and not logging in, if you wanted that item badly.

Arghhhh, having a nightmare with this deal.

  • Bought a GPU, discounted to £265.
  • Got an email about an hour ago saying the payment hadn't gone through and as such order has not been completed/cancelled.
  • Few minutes later got an email from PayPal saying I had successfully sent £265 to the seller.
  • Checked my PayPal account, indeed the money HAS been sent. The seller has also issued a refund of the pre-voucher price of £330, however that is pending.

Currently waiting for eBay live chat, they've been going to "respond in under a minute" for the last 30 minutes now. Hoping i still get refunded the full £330 and I'll be £65 in profit. Even better scenario would be eBay now processes the order and I get the refund, entitling me to a free gpu and £65 profit.
