Id like to build something that is black and white themed and i dont mind the whole RGB craze.
I already own 1 x samsung evo 120gb ssd with windows 10 pre installed on it.
Will have to be a nvidia based pc and i want to game at 1440p. (Got a asus rog swift)
Im looking to spend £170 a week over the next 10 weeks.
My local pc repair shop will build it for £35.
Also i have a habu gaming mouse and a keyboard.

The main reason i fancy a black / white themed pc is because the msi titanium x370 mobo is around £125 and it is down as the "premium motherboard" for amd in the custom pc magazine (my bible).
Im open to suggestions though ..... thanks

Black and white.. x370 Taichi. If any one can sell you this board over MSI one it's @8 Pack
Yes Taichi is a far better board with memory and overclocking than the msi.
i just watched a video anout the taichi from a guy called tiny tom logan. He doesnt really sell it me when he goes on about bios updates and how unstable the board was. the vid is 6 months old though...

Personally prefer gigabyte and the board is white and black, the Gaming 5 . Along with support bells and whistles

Both on sale
My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £360.48 (includes shipping: £10.50)

Plus I'd pick advice from 8 Pack over most

I would advise against buying parts over a 10 week span. Just save up until you have the £1700 and buy then. Nothing worse than having parts sat around and you can't do anything with them.

The problem i have is that ive been dying to get a gaming pc sorted for months...evertime i save up to a certain amount my wife wants a new dishwasher....or what was it now...oh yeah thats it..."i want this kylie minogue wallpaper @ £39.99 a rol"!

I work monday to friday 4am till 5 or 6 pm so i wont notice the parts around the house and i feel that if i know im actually buying parts then i will get my pc one way or another

If you are gonna be buying parts bit by bit (totally not advised) start with the case, something nice looking.. Then afta a few weeks of stumping your big toe on a big box and the Mrs whining about the big box it will probably spur you on to buy the parts :)

Buying parts in stages generally costs more money due to price fluctuations :(

Tom gets no marketing money from asrock. Don't be naive enough to trust any review. Although in fairness to Tom he is one of the best UK reviewers. Taichi had 3200 and above memory working very very early and performance was on point.

Which ever board you choose go 8Pack 3200 c14 mems. They can't be beat on ryzen and are our best selling ram on any platform.

If your going to buy anything... RAM.... It's getting more and more expensive . Easy to Google and find the big 5 reasons , even with Samsung stepping up manufacturing - not because they want to drop pricings or meet demands - purely to make even more money... It's going to go up !
Get ram on sale at least this week, then at least if your wife takes all the funds, can sell it for break even or profit of a pint in the pub !

Ram prices have gone mad!
I paid £105 about a year ago for a kit that is now £349! What the hell.

im ordering these

and possiblu nzxt elite case tomorrow ...or mite do it a midnight when i get paid... she is already got the argos out...

Should be a happy bunny , I know @8 Pack had a quote with his ram on that board - should be able to give you pointers for solid overclock as well :)
Get some thermal Grizzlie non liquid metal paste !

The 3600mhz kit gives you headroom for sure. But you will need a great imc to run so high on ryzen.. Try 3200 c14 before going higher.

If your not keen on Taichi, go with the Aorus, will be backed up by great support on here from reps and UK based RMA- ocuk handles it but will be repaired here at least .
Slap in some 8 pack ram and off you go ! Board has RGB so no real need on the ram is RGB is your thing :D plus on sale so that helps haha
