Apparently this was all over a $1.50 bet between 2 players on the same team.

Just read this. Bet the police will try to hide their sheer incompetence at shooting dead an unarmed man because his hands were moving around near his waist (or at least that is what is alleged).

You just can't tell if any American is actually unarmed though can you?
Andi.

Voice Chat - Off.

Competitive games are filled with hate-filled little sociopaths who think that mindlessly lashing out is the mark of a real man. Do not engage.

On a side note, the ignore function on these forums (since the upgrade) is much better than before - it hides quoted posts so you can live in blissful ignorence, result :p

Correct by looks of it.
When officers arrived at the scene, Finch opened the door for the officers. As police told him to put his hands up,
Finch moved a hand toward the area of his waistband - a common place where guns are concealed. An officer, fearing the man was reaching for a gun, fired a single shot.
Finch died a few minutes later at a hospital and was found to be unarmed, Livingston said.

Aparently it was a sniper from a distance that made the shot rather than officers speaking to the man.

The attitude of the US police still stinks here, they shot an unarmed man as US police do on a fairly regular basis, they then want to blame all of this on the prankster... regardless of the prankster the police still screwed up here and the usual justification of some vague movement near his waist is given as an excuse for the trigger happy cop.

Stupidity all around in this one, prankster should be jailed for murder as well as Mr Hemovesifire.

prankster should be jailed but not for murder, the vast majority of these incidents just involve the cops turning up and police time being wasted, there was no intention or expectation that anyone would die here

hopefully, if the incident deserves it, the cop won't get out of a 2nd degree murder or manslaughter charge here

Being the US and the fact that it would be an armed response by often fairly jumpy cops especially when a known "dangerous" situation I have no problem with the "prankster" going down for murder. It isn't even remotely a prank its rank stupidity.
