This happened just days after I was trapped in the IKEA Reading multistory for almost 2 hours... whilst I was sat waiting I wondered how they would handle any kind of emergency. Never going back there, would rather drive the extra half an hour to Southampton.

I'm sure you're aware but So'ton Ikea is also multi-story. I'm guessing it was more the actual car park operators causing you concern rather than multi-story, though, from what you've said

I wouldn't want to get stuck in the Southampton Ikea multistory, not exactly a wealth of routes down it and out, unlike the West Quay car park next to it.

My point wasn’t about multi stories in general, it was about poorly designed ones that I’ve been stuck trying to get out of on more than one occasion. Used to live in Soton and never had a problem getting out due to the exit being directly onto a dual carriage way. Reading however isn’t and and has been in the news on multiple occasions with people stuck in it for hours due to its design, operation and poor location.

If a fire or some other emergency were to occur there, it would make it all the more worse.

Nah, it's a Lexus GS450h I think. Could be a GS300 or GS430 but the wheels are definitely 450h items with the silver middle spoke.
