An allowance is just regular remuneration, it doesn’t change your mileage tax situation.

There are different guideline amounts for different fuels and engine sizes and different benefit provision methods (company car, allowance, rate only). That said, most are only guidelines, so individual companies can pay what they want, it's potentially then up to you to figure out if you're entitled to tax relief or owe more tax.

Looks like a stage 1 remap takes it to around 320bhp, something you're considering out of interest or just going to leave and enjoy it stock? Nice looking car by the way.

ours isn't as low as that (16p I think) but as you say it's not normal to get an allowance and the 45p rate

No. I ran out of time. Originally planned on 2 days of test drives? But my daughter was I'll in hospital so I had to skip a load of them. Plus the dealer near me didn't bother to respond to my email, which really irritates me. I prefer the XF which was quite a bit more than the Alfa once I specced it to where i wanted it.
