Safe operating temperatures for SP120 fans?

I've recently finished a new build in a corsair crystal 570x, it's lovely but I've already had 2 of the included SP120 RGB fans fail on me (start making a clicking noise) so I'm wondering if I'm doing something wrong. I've got a 980ti running on a corsair H60 and an 8700k cpu with a h100i v2. I had some issues with temperature build up but have now reconfigured the fans so the H60 is at the front as an intake (with 2 fans in push pull) and the h100 is at the top with two of the sp120 fans as exhaust. The gpu here's up to about 66deg C under full load after about 20 minutes and stays there but the air exhausted from the case is naturally quite warm. My question is what is a safe temperature range for these fans to operate at? I've never had fans fail like this on me before but I've never used these fans before either. I've looked for tech specs and datasheets and can only find a mtbf rating which is measured at 25deg C but no details on safe temperature ranges. The exhaust air is warm and the top of the case does get warm to the touch but only warm, not hot and I've definitely run hotter pcs in the past.

just bad luck i guess. should be replaced under RMA

not able to have CPU/GPU AIO at back and top? that way can set intake fans to max speed intake if your happy with the sound . also give better positive pressure

Sadly the hoses for the H60 won't let me mount the gpu aio anywhere but at the front, it seems to cool just fine like this though (it's overclocked too so max 66 deg is a big improvement from stock). I'm already in the process of RMA'ing the first fan but they need me to send them the fan before they'll send a replacement which potentially means not being able to use my pc for a few days and as the second fan has failed I wondered if I was doing something wrong

You could buy new fans and sell the RMA replacements without losing too much if you need to keep your PC going. I would suggest the MM but that's not an option yet. 120mm fans are quite cheap at OCUK.
Andi.

Both the radiators, irrespective of position should be intakes ( intakes for positive pressure or exhausts for negative ). Otherwise you are just taking the heat from one and transferring it to the other. You don't really need push-pull, but one thing I would do is place ML PRO fans on the radiators. They are quieter and actually work better too. Three of them. You don't really need an exhaust fan since you have three fans blowing in to the case. but should you decide you do I would actually just add a fourth intake fan to the front of the case.
