Hi Guys,

Not been active within the PC community for literally years due to family and work etc.
So i am really out of touch with current components and was wondering if i could possibly have some help please!

Not wanting to spend a fortune but would like something half decent.

What i can salvage off my current PC -

Case
HDD
Optical Drives

I have 8GB of DDR3 1600mhz but im guessing that may be outdated now?

I dont need an OS or any peripherals.
Any suggestions would be fantastic! Thanks in advance

This is my current spec, in case anything else can be salvaged

Thanks for that, i sort of chucked a list together using common sense, will the PSU be enough for the GPU?

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £471.05 (includes shipping: £11.10)

Yes i do think the power supply would be enough.

You have a decent spec for the money there.

I picked seasonic due to their psu being higher quality.

edit you will be able to play games on high/max @ 1080p with that gpu.

Pick up a second hand i7 and drop it in your current motherboard along with another matching 8 Gb stick of memory. If it's for gaming pick up a decent gpu as well.

I think the ryzen ipc is like the same with intels 4xxx series correct me if i am wrong.

Yeah get a 2nd hand i7 4 series processor, if your motherboard supports it go for it.

The reason why i went with ryzen in the first place knowing this is because of ryzens value for the performance a ryzen 1600 would stomp a 7600k for instance.

But coffee lake is now out which is the 8xxx series of intels lineup.

edit.

So yeah your motherboard supports the i7 4xxx series processor i wonder if you need to update the bios or not yeah?
