desktop pc wall mount/desk set up

been tempted to try this a few times... especially with some of the big Thermaltake open air wall mount chassis

but then i remember i have cats... therefore any wall mounting is a dangerous proposition at best lol

Ive got mine mounted on a wall, reluctant to take a photo as right now its a state due to planning a room revamp. Ive mounted it on two very large brackets. It has a few bonuses. The main one being air circulation it keeps nice and cool. It also suffers from very little dust compared to a floor pc. It saves a load of space. The bad points are cable management really.
Ive enjoyed it being wall mounted but im about to attempt to build a huge custom desk so it will be going on that as at 3m Ill have the space.

Check the desk / case thread, been a few wall mounted posted recently, mainly the Thermaltake case that has been used.

yeah... that'll go down well... nibbling at cables and then timber as the cat pulls the entire pc off the wall lmfao

I don't think a cat would be able to pull my PC anywhere. You need to make yours heavier with more hard drives and GPU's! :D

I'm gonna go with a custom desk too so no wall mounted pc lol

That's a PC on a floating shelf with some shelf brackets for additional support, i have something similar for my case(also have a similar setup for a 43 inch screen in one of the bedrooms), but at desk level beside the desk(no space and the monitor shelf runs the width of the desk). A decent floating shelf, with some heavy duty wall plugs(basic cheap ones just won't hold as well) and screws can do the job, but as in the picture linked in the OP, some support brackets wouldn't go amiss in providing extra peace of mind that it will hold. My shelf can hold my weight(seriously, i used the biggest plugs and screws that would fit) but i added a leg(brackets would work to) below it all the same so i can be sure it'll hold over time(it's not permenantly fixed and i remove it when hoovering).

A good weight test for a shelf is a pile of bricks, as many as is needed to be close the weight of the PC. I loaded my shelf for a few days with the heaviest items i had to hand(4 bricks and a bunch of tools) and it didn't budge an inch.

I mounted my computer tower to my wall last weekend. I have kids that like to run around the house. Ive went through so many cords because of them. Mounting it to the wall has kept them from yanking cords and destroying components. My tower also runs quieter and at a cooler temperature. Its just a shelf, but it serves its purpose well. I got mine from here https://www.oeveo.com/685-pc-mounts.
