Hi,

Currently have a Nexus 6P, but is being made unusable by poor battery life. Already replaced the battery once.

Looking for recommendations for a good phone under £200.

Open to Chinese brands like Xiaomi, but would want UK stock to avoid import fees.

Huawei P10 Lite is a decent shout. A family member got one when it was £250 and is still happy with it 6 months later. OS is fluid even though has it's own flavour on top of Android, Camera is fine and battery been good.

There is also the Nokia 6 but has an inferior CPU but rest of the spec seems fine.

Reading thread with interest as my LG G2 is nearing its end. Hows the camera on the P10 Lite? We use our phones for taking pics a lot when out and about with our daughter so quite important...

The camera on the P10 in good light is good and in low light acceptable. I don't see it any worse than handsets in the same price bracket. I have recently been spoilt by the Pixel 2 camera which is a big step up but for social media posts and general snaps the P10 Lite is fine. Heard no major complaints.

I got a Moto G5S with a two-year guarantee, Dual SIM (or one SIM and a microSD card up to 128GB), SIM free, fingerprint lock and 32GB for under £200.
I know next to nothing about SmartPhones but reviews seemed good and when I learn to use it I will probably be happy.

Got a P10 Lite to replace a Galaxy S5, was surprised how good of a phone £180 gets you these days. Did also look at the Nokia 6 but no one had it in stock.

I won't be buying a top of the range phone for a while now. Not bothered about camera as I carry a Panasonic LX100 with me everywhere.

HI - I've a galaxy S5 on three network (UK) and been noticing for some months the data speed/connection/web browsing is rubbish and it never used to be.
On wifi its fine.
My wifes Iphone 6 is also on three and works fine in the same locations and same web sites so I'm thinking S5 is failing.
Tried reset and replacement sim and no better.

So looking for an new phone.
Must list:
takes memory card (64Gb will be enough)
Blinking notification led for missed calls/texts/emails/etc
able to assign different ringtones to contacts
able to add numbers to ignore list
reasonable camera
ability to store apps on sd card or at least maps used by satnav/mapsme etc so as not to fill phone memory.
Ability to store/play music stored on sd card
pictures taken automatically stored on sd card

At the moment thinking of Moto g5+ or Huawei P10 lite as budget is around £200

Do either of the above models fit my needs above and any comments on which is better/why or an alternative.

Many Thanks for your comments.
