He starts by saying they're working hard on new game optimizations which has been true but then he's going on about all the great Adrenalin features like he's missed the news that Adrenalin's bugged and presumably most people will have rolled back like I had too, I didn't have any choice.
Also, I've noticed that 18.4.1 which was meant to fix the DX9 titles disappeared from the AMD website a few days ago.

EDIT: After watching the whole thing I get the impression that nothing is going to replace the current Vega cards in 2018 so those of us with Vega's will get our money's worth,
I will as it's doing a great job at 3440x1440.

I assume, though it seems a bit missing from the latest information, they are still going ahead with the 12nm shrink of Vega.

Looks a bit bleak for FreeSync owners though.

Wasn't so "free" after all? Might have lost more market share without it :p
I would ditch my gsync monitor in a second if the right specced monitor came along even if it was freesync only. For me personally there are fare more important things that variable refresh rate, even when gaming. But of course not everyone see things this way. Right now im playing BF1 without gsync on.. no problemo :)

For pure gaming it could be done in software and not drag the mouse down too because i software ala titanfall 2 and shadow of war you would just automatically have settings lowered on the fly by the game to always be a set fps. Now no one is tied to any one gpu maker and even better... everyone can have ULMB and freesync could die.

I think we went the wrong route better software is needed even though it is still great thing for pulldown and 24fps films.

So Scott Wasson didn't really say much about the future of Radeon after all. Someone needs to find a more talkative AMD employee.

i don't remember amd saying vega or polaris is going to 12nm, they would rather keep it for more profitable parts (cpu, apu)
beside why would amd make polaris and vega a bit more efficient and a bit faster? miners will start dumping their old cards on the market to get the new ones.

Hopefully to produce better cards in greater volume. 12nm would also make Vega 64 a lot more appealing to the tree huggers. Some people seem to think 250 watts will heat a home and melt an ice cap somewhere.

AMD's CTO Mark Papermaster said so himself in conference.
