I have a 1080ti and 2700k.... I would like to upgrade my motherboard, ram and cpu.

I only game via VR so would like something suited to that.

Max budget is £500... Is that enough?

not enough if you want to go the intel 8700k route. just about enough if you get the ryzen 1600 kit

Yup, still good. At least wait for the 8 core Ice Lake's to be released by Intel in a few months, then prices generally would have settled a bit (hopefully!!).

You'll be good for another 6/7 years then at least, even if you have to push your budget a little
