I've had a 320D M Sport for a few years but the lease is up so i need to get a new car and have no idea what to get?

Shall i be boring and stick with BMW and go 330d Xdrive next as i've loved the beemer? or something else entirely? anyone changed from BMW to something else?

say £6K to put down and about £300 a month thoughts?

Indeed, nearly 13k on a lease over 2 years should get you a 50k car at the very least.

What are you're requirements?

Comfy quiet easy to drive lots of motorway miles and lanes for a 120 miles a day commute and the family bus 4 wheel drive would be nice auto box a must

If it's a car allowance than it's very much his money as it's paid in his salary and taxed like salary. It's his money.

But it's not though is it? Since if he chose the company car instead, he'd still have BIK to consider, and usually car allowances (in my experience) are much more generous than needs be compared to the car on offer directly. So, it's not his money, it's given to him for provision of a vehicle, and if his job didn't include one then he would never see it. Obviously if he wants to spend more or less he can, but why is giving an up limit on the deposit/upfront payment strange? Surely that is one of the major outgoings he will need to recoup back, no?

Yes, it is.

It's extra salary and he controls how it's spent within the parameters of any requirements the business has. If he spends less he keeps the money for himself.

It's not strange at all if it's his money but he said it wasn't which implied it was a company car.

6k bonus for getting rid of company car and the £300 a month is the equivalent bik tax! Simples ;)

So it'l probably be a PCP deal now haha you guys need details lol

So, how long has the 6K got to last you before you get the next one, for the next vehicle? Since £6k bonus isn't great if it's a one off, and you'll never get it again? I mean the BIK on your current vehicle can't be that much (assume 20% bracket) and you'll soon be out of pocket, given only a £300pm allowance, if that has to include insurance, servicing/maintenance etc.

Get what you want, dont listen to the penny pinchers. :D

We may change from a BMW to something else in 6 months as other than getting the same car again there isn't much else we(I) would like within the price range.

Considering a Skoda Superb 280 Sport line at the moment.

Ignoring any financial discussion
