Hi guys. Looking for peoples thoughts on which setup would be better, especially with the state of SLI. All be it i only play games like battlefield 1, crysis 3 and call of duty

So it's either 2 x 1070TI or 1 x 1080TI at 1440P 165hz resolutions?

At one time I would have said definitely give SLI a go, but support seems to be dwindling.

I've used SLI for 3 or 4 generations but recently switched to a 1080ti from SLI 980tis after getting fed up with the criminal lack of SLI suppprt on new releases.

Virtually the same performance, less heat and noise too is a bonus.
 
I know you've made up your mind already and it's probably the right choice but I'll says this just in case. BF1 and Crysis 3 work very well with SLI (BF1 getting 97-99% usage on both GPUs). Some CODs work well with SLI but some don't at all.
 
SLi is still pretty good, its death is widely exaggerated. but still 1080Ti and get another if you need more and no new card is releaseed
