Hi Peeps

I've been looking for a new landline handset for the house. We have two 10 year old wireless digital sets, one base station and one charger but the signal is not great. One of the problems is we have a very old house all of the internal walls are a foot thick rough stone construction. WiFi signals for instance are barely useful through walls and as such I have about 4 or 5 powerline WiFi points in the house all with the same SSID. The same problem affects the phones although the signal seems a little better. Now getting a like for like replacement is a piece of cake but I was wondering if anyone knew of any landline hand sets that could talk to the base station via powerline or maybe as a mesh signal arrangement?

Any help much appreciated.

I saw this thing once that would make an app ring on your mobile phone if someone rang the house. It was some kind of wifi bridge that plugged into the phone line.

Never used it but it means you can use your mobile to make and receive calls. also perhaps use your phones address book.

That link was helpful @pigeonguyuk I hadn't heard of DECT repeaters or Pro Link Repeaters they might be what I need. It can be difficult starting research without some initial knowledge that might get me going. Cheers.

to be honest i didn't know about them either. it was a random search while bored in work so i also learnt something :)
