That's not going to knock a hundred quid off the price though, it's likely to make little difference as the increased residual probably forms part of the deal.

This. Test drove a new one on Saturday,. A huge step up from the 3 in build quality, and the interior is lovely. It wasn't for me as it feels a big car,. But as a motorway cruiser it would be hard to beet.

Alfa Giulia

I test drove the BMW 330i M sport, the Alfa Giulia Veloce (276 BHP petrol version) plus a few other cars.

I ordered the Alfa... it just drove better than the BMW. it was cheaper too, once i'd spec's to the same level as the Veloce. plus its a bit different.

I realise your after a Diesel, but the diesel alfas are pretty good ive heard. Go check one out.

or how about a Jag XE?

I have driven the XE and it' very nice to drive but I've heard some horror stories about electronic niggles that put me off! I didn' think of the Alfa good call! I'm leaning towards a 330d M Sport X Drive as the beemer has been faultless in 3 years And I know what I'm going to get if a little boring lol

i doubt the Alfa will be niggle free lol, but its the first car i'll ever had with warranty, so any niggles i cant live with, i should be able to get sorted.

It drives great, and it'll look like this:

so i was sold.

The BMW will be nice too though!

That colour is called Misano Blue, and is only available on the Veloce and the Quadrifoglio. they do some other nice colours too, Vesuvio Grey was a very close second for me.

You’re losing a similar amount in depreciation every year if you buy a new car at this price point.
