Trojan keeps coming back

Do you know the folder path that the trojan keeps appearing in? It should appear in the scan history of Windows Defender.
it was a hidden folder i couldnt find unless i typed it into bar and it was case sensitive. AppData it was called.

ASL babe? lol..... You should format and make sure DATA is kept off the system. Maybe get a portable hard drive and copy your main data over too it.

There are some awkward malware variants that are memory only. AKA fileless malware infections. I had to nuke one off a company machine even though ESET had contained it it couldnt stop it from appearing again. Like I said in an earlier post on this thread you have to use something like Norton Power Eraser, DrWeb - Live Disks where you scan and nuke outside of the windows environment.

Check your services and see if there are any with random numbers running, or any other odd looking services. The best viruses will not stand out at all however.

Personally if my system got infected like that I would blat it however. (Ie format and start again.)

Sounds like you have something else hidden and installed somewhere that keeps recreating it if it ends up in %appdata%. Did you install anything recently? Any cracks as well? Maybe take a screenshot of task manager with a list of all the processes running as well as start up items.

that folder might just have been where the firefox thing was coming from cant remember now. there doesn't seem to be anything a miss in any of the service or process lists.

and i still havent had anything reoccur. so my fingers remain crossed. not doubt i or the missus will click on an advert and start the process again lol.
