I know what linen is. But wasn't aware there were trousers made from it.I'm disturbed an adult working in a school didn't know what linen is.

why doesnt this woman complain about something that affects most people.
like in the winter when everyone is dressed for the weather, you enter a shop and its boiling, your sweating to death in a few minutes and don't have the luxury of taking layers off.
why is it set up to make the staff comfortable at the expense of the customers
Potential solution: Have the office cold at one end and hot at the other. Gradual gradiant in the middle. Sit where suits you best.
Alternative solution- have the aircon at 21° constantly and if people need to be warmer then they can wear jackets or have a small heater under their desk
Ignoring the sexism aspect of this story for one moment...
A common - and completely retarded - scenario we've all seen: heating is on full throttle on one side of the office and the windows are wide open a few feet away on the other... such wastefulness. All the energy used with complete abandon and sent straight out the window.
Then - and this is where I have some sympathy for the girl in the vid - the energy needlessly wasted super chilling the office to "cool" in the middle of summer. It's summer... we should be wearing less not trying to recreate winter.
So to some extent she's right ... inflexibility is causing us to waste vast amounts of energy heating and cooling areas incredibly inefficiently.
This is a problem that's bigger than sexism... it's a problem of being utterly irresponsible with our energy usage.
But that's why so many people complain. 21 isn't perfect for everyone.
and that is why jumpers exist
Old story,
Simple answer:
Women can put on a jumper, men can't take off their skin.
Men are required to wear on average more layers in the office type work-place (suit, tie, trousers, belt, shirt, sometimes a vest) etc..
This is ridiculous. The most pleasant room temperature is 22°C. In bedrooms, 20°C would be all right ok.
The 20C in the bedroom surprised me. I wouldn't be able to sleep as I would need it to be lower, like 16C tops. That said, I dread my next stay on a hospital ward as I know they're kept warm around the clock.

This. Feet sticking out too!I would be sweating buckets at 20 degrees trying to sleep as well. about 15/16 is best for sleeping and helping your body wind down.
As somebody who works in the industry it always amuses me when people are surprised to learn thisWhat really?
Why do you keep typing this in loads of your posts? Isn't it easier to just type 2018?
@Pawnless Endgame you are incorrect.
There is a minimum requirement for temperature. That’s 13 if you’re doing physical work or 16C if you’re not.
