Going from 8gb to 16gb lower my max possible overclock?

As above, I found going from 2 x 8gb to 4 x 8gb meant I had to raise my cpu voltage slightly to remain stable and also lower memory speed from 3333 c14 to 3200 c14. I am more interested in stability than on the very edge overclocking.

it all depends on the IMC of the chip, but it is common for the overclock to change in some way if you go from 2 stick to 4 sticks, or if you change to a faster ram speed

On Haswell going from a pair of 4Gb sticks to 4x 4Gb sticks made no difference at all to anything. No extra voltage needed or any other changes. Just dropped them in and it all worked.

Then you have a strong imc or your oc is not maxed out/ you was already running more volts than needed
