Hey guys after 16+ years of not driving my mom's old GOLF Mk2 AUTO, I decided to get back to driving again. I am stuck between the Seat Ibiza FR Auto and the VW Polo Beats (both in Red)

I am in love with the Seat from what I saw but the interior is a bit bland but not terrible.

but the Polo grabbed my attention especially the interior. My favorite colours all in one car which is great!

Despite the visual looks inside and out, I need to look at the car from the handling, performance, quality and space persepctive. We just want to choose the right one that will fit our purposes (wife and I)

We mainly will be using to go shopping around town, or go for short drives. Please let me know to those who have a Polo or Seat Ibiza what would be a better all-rounder car. Any positives and negatives will help me decide which one to go for.

Cheers

Richard

The Seat looks massively better inside and out. And will generally be better equipped, probably have a better engine, and be value overall.

Prefer the polo interior
Bare in mind the polo this gen has grown in size considerably, almost the same as a golf now!

It might be, but it's still only 40mm wider and 80mm longer than it's predecessor.

My mother picked up her new Polo yesterday and I have to say it's lovely, much more grown up than the previous gen (which my Wife has), and the tech available to spec is great. I'd take the Polo over the Seat.

I have a 2015 Ibiza fr (Previous shape to that) and both these cars will do the same job. As underneath they're on the same VW platform. Personally i prefer the Ibiza interior. it might be dark with just the chrome but for me there is too much going on in the polo especially the dashboard.

Drive both and see if either drives better than the other. Then its just down to personal preference on aesthetics.

good points, probably right about the polo being a bit too much going on with the interior. Just love the shape of the Seat and I have to like the look of the car. I am always drawn back to the seat for some reason, probably best to give both a test drive and see

SEAT, although it looks 10x better with the LED headlights.

The coloured trim are just optional extras I believe, you can probably spec them on the configurator on the website or get them fitted by the dealer.

I always hear people say SEAT interiors are bland but I personally really like them :)

Basically the same cars under the hood, both drive very well, the Polo's interior feels a bit better built compared to the Ibiza but that's the price point coming into play. The Polo has extra options like a digital dashboard which looks great and has a gti model if you fancy 200bhp :)

Expect the Ibiza's dash to be a bity more 'plasticy' but the Polo isn't innocent either!

I'm going to throw a spanner into the works and say go and test drive the new Fiesta too. Not a big fan of the Ford's looks personally but its up there fighting with the Ibiza and Polo for the crown of best super mini :)

Yea I know the Ford Fiesta is at the top but I personally don't like the look of it, I will be dong my refreshers lessons in a Ford Fiesta in a few days so I may actually end up liking the car once I start driving it around.
