I was bored today

I had a laptop that some kids at the school had vandalised. Nothing special. Just an i3-5005U, 8GB, SSD etc. It seemed a shame to bin it.

May I present; Wall PC.

And yes, the 120mm fan is decorative only. It needed something to fill the space where the DVD drive would have connected.

Isn't a recess is it? Looks like a bit of board attached to the wall to act as a backplate to fix the components to.

It isn't a recess. It's 6mm MDF board as Zefan said. I was planning on spraying it black but forgot to do it and by the time I remembered I had half of the components mounted. Maybe I'll take it down and spray it up some other day I'm bored.

Lasercut some perspex to cover the front just to be on the safe side - it looks good!

Cut to shreds? Its not a turbine! lol. You can stick your finger in most PC fans and aside from a minor twinge which lasts a few seconds you'll be fine.

I wouldnt want to put my fingers in a Delta fan though!
