finsbury park mosque attacker

Poor labrat is angry that he got caught and punished. Labrat thinks he should have got a slap on the wrist for being a naughty boy and released into society as he was doing society a favour by trying to rid the U.K. of muslims....

grow up, the blokes a nob.

terrorism is the product of the weak minded mentally ill.

Yes
It's quite possible my text sat in the saved text until I pressed reply much later.

Who’s murderers received tougher sentences if I’m not mistaken. Is that not widely discussed on Britain first Facebook groups ?

But it could be argued that this morons crime wasn’t as bad as the Rigby killers. They chopped his head off in broad daylight. This Pratt drove a van at people but didn’t actually kill anyone. The guy who died was dead before the mob who attempted to kill the driver were stopped - his death was due to a heart attack earlier. So nobody actually died as a result of the van.

The book has literally been thrown at him and so it should be. Seems pretty unbalanced though. They should all be shot or put away for life. One rule for all.

You know this guy has been found guilty of murder, right? In a court of law - by a jury that took less than an hour to do so.

You appear to know better than they do?

So are you suggesting... it was the mosques fault for being there, rather than the person who intentionally drove a van into a group of people outside it?

Par for the course for this forum I guess.

Yes, it was certainly the fault of the mosque that some nutjob decided it would be a good idea to run people over. Can't have been the fault of the nutjob. No sir-eee.

Do either of you actually have any appreciation of the significance of Finsbury Park Mosque?

The place was a production line insurgent factory!

We are not talking about one or two deluded souls here.

If wikileaks is to be believed it funneled dozens of people into ISIS, and that is in addition to the people who are currently in prison in Britain and the USA who were directly connected to the place.

ANY other "Meeting house" involved in criminality on this scale would not only have been shut down permanently, anybody who had ever been involved with it would have been subject to the most intense investigations.

But, Hey Ho, "Mosque", so OK then!

I would have thought that any decent Muslim would have been happy to see the place demolished as a stain on their religion!

As for Osbourne. There is no justification EVER for killing random innocent people simply going about their day to day lives to make a political point. Not, Never, Period!

It also turns out that he is a serial violent offender, with over 100 previous convictions, who would, in My world, have been effectively eliminated looooong ago by a strictly enforced "Three strikes Rule"

But, his explanation for his outrage I can understand.

The official (And therefore clearly intentional, AND central government sanctioned) cover up and denial of the appalling sexual exploitation crimes in Rochdale and elsewhere for purely political reasons was beyond forgiveness.

The fact that to this day, nobody in authority has gone to prison for this is appalling.

And yes, I do find that the total lack of official sanction about this deeply disturbing and I can understand how somebody might end up doiing what he did because the authorities who are supposed to protect us are seen not to really care....

Yes sweetheart I’m fully aware of that but it doesn’t detract from the fact that he didnt actually achieve his goal of killing someone.

The guy who died was already unconscious having had a heart attack and the crowd was waiting for an ambulance to arrive when all of a sudden, this fool drove his van at them. His heart attack had nothing to do with the van.

Christ I’m not condoning anything but it does seem like a point is being made with his sentencing which is both appropriate and well earned but, compare his crime to those who chopped the head of Rigby and it could be argued that it’s too harsh and they should have been dragged through the street, castrated and then hung drawn and quartered.

As much as I hate to get in the way of a good rant...

That’s all very well but... as I already pointed out on the previous page... shutting down the Finsbury Park mosque wouldn’t have made any difference because the group he decided to run into had come out of an different mosque...

And it’s also worth pointing out that your rant about shutting down the mosque is wrong anyway. It was shut down after the anti terror raid, but reopened a couple of years later by new people. That’s not exactly uncommon and happens regularly with things like pubs and clubs. The current Finsbury Park mosque is in the same building, but it’s not the same entity.

So he’s similar to many of the Islamic terrorists then, who generally also have records as long as their arms prior to committing their act of terrorism. When that’s brought up, it’s swept aside by people like yourself.

And it’s interesting that you “can understand” why he did it, because that’s also something that’s widely criticized by people such as yourself when others say similar about Islamic terrorists. The words “terrorist sympathizer” comes to mind.

(I’m not calling you a sympathizer, just for the record, just pointing out something that’s worth thinking about. Understanding why someone may consider their actions justifiable is not justification or sympathy for those actions.)

Spot on. I see this time and time again not just on this forum but IRL too which is a shame.

You can easily understand, someone has an opinion and then acts on it.

My understanding is that he did actually kill someone. Seems the jury was fairly convinced of it after having the evidence presented to them too.
