New Vega apu

Will these be of use to the cryptomaniacs or will they be available to buy? Sounds like they will be ok for 1080p.
Miners wont to use APU's, you need new motherboard, ram and PSU for each one where as you can fit multiple GPU's to one system. Even if we're profitable the returns would be so low and take so long just to recover the initial investment it's to risky for most on balance.

If you could a functional system with a Vega 11 APU all in for £250 at best your daily profit would be about £3 a day which means it would take almost 3 months to just break even.

I guess OP is talk about Ryzen 3 2200G and Ryzen 5 2400G Raven Ridge APUs that reviews will go live later today and probably will available for sales later today.

Ryzen 5 2400G did not have Vega M GL GPU but actually Vega 11 with 704 shaders, accorded to early review Vega 11 is slower than Geforce GT 1030 so Vega 11 is about 75-80% of Vega 56. Ryzen 3 2200G have Vega 8 with 512 shaders so performance will be slower than Vega 11.

You probably wont bother to use weak Vega 11 for mining at around 100H/s.

Well, looking at the APUs, they do seem nice, but given how much side hurdles there are to consider ...
Mainly DDR4 is still flying high, and APU wants the faster (hence more expensive) memory. And 2GB max assigned memory ? Are they for real or did i misunderstand ? And W10 of some version needed for taking advantage of APU ...
